Stock up on fish and then head to Castle Town. In return for the hookup you'll get Force Gem 2 - that means more bunnies!Talk to the fish monger in Papuchia Village - she'll offer to sell you some fish for 50 rupees. Take the Whittleton Village Chief to Papuchia Village and he'll immediately take to the woman seeking a suitable mate. You can bring her the husband she desires, who just happens to be the chief of Whittleton! Board your train and head for Whittleton.
Purchase the maximum payload - 5 cuccos - for 50 rupees. Look for the cucco-filled henhouse on the northwest side of town. Another man in Castle town has the goods you need. Talk to her and she'll reward you with a Force Gem! (Note - you may want to do this after doing Force Gem 14, in which you cool the fish with ice so the fish lasts longer)An entrepreneurial man in your home town of Aboda is in need of cuccos for his startup. Fish spoil, so don't dawdle! The lady should be either in the center of town or in a house in the northwest.
Goron Iron is available in the west portion of Goron Village (by the mailbox). For fulfilling the boy's request he'll give you a Force Gem!A man in the southwest corner of Whittleton remarks that he needs iron for axes. Stop in front of his shop and you'll enter it. When you near the balloon, toot your horn to get Beedle to dock alongside you. Look for Beedle's face on your map - this indicates his position. Beedle should be patrolling some area of the Forest Realm, so agree to take the boy aboard and plan a route to the balloon.
Easy!The Lokomo Guardian Steem is looking for a certain object to redecorate his sanctuary with that the Wise One in Papuchia Village happens to possess. Take him to Anouki Village to get Force Gem 9. In return you'll get Force Gem 7.Bring the Anouki selling Mega Ice from the pond in the Anouki Village to Wellspring Station to get this Force Gem.Tell the Goron in the center of the Goron Village that you'll take him to see some snow and he'll get on your train. Talk to the fellow by the pile of lumber to donate some iron to his cause. You need to get to Whittleton with 5 units left of your supply of 20.
Make it to the Snow Sanctuary with the Vessel intact and Steem will award you Force Gem 10. Take the warp in the southwest corner of the Forest Realm if you wish, then stop in at any places you pass along the way to the Snow Sanctuary to make a sort of "save point" in case you get nailed by a snowball or cannon. It cannot withstand a single impact, so if you get hit, just go ahead and let the enemies kill you so you restart at the edge of the map or the station where you last stopped (with your cargo intact!). This can be carried on your freight car but is very fragile. She'll eventually offer to sell you a Vessel. Have her tell your fortune (answer her questions using the DS microphone) and then keep talking to her.

Now, talk to the lumber salesman in the southwest corner of Whittleton and purchase a full supply of lumber. He'll agree to help out after some lighthearted cajoling. Head to the southeast corner of the Forest Realm and talk to the Bridge Worker at the foot of the bridge along the east side of town. He needs both 15 units of lumber AND the Bridge Worker's services to complete a fence in the town.
Take him there for Force Gem 12.Note: You must first obtain Force Gem 14 before you can access the Pirate's Hideout.Enter the cave in the northeast. Talk to the Anouki in the house and he'll express a desire to see the Goron Village. You'll be awarded a rare treasure AND Force Gem 11! Note: This also opens the path to Snowdrift Station.After obtaining Force Gem 9, the Goron you took to Anouki Village is hanging out in the Honcho's house (north center of the map).
With the prisoner on your train, head due south for the village. Note: The scoring tips below don't apply to your very first game, just get out alive!Once freed, the prisoner will ask you to take him to Papuchia Village. That means that, if you hit 5 Miniblins in a row, you score 50 points for each Miniblin until you miss again! Hitting the Miniblin nets counts as a miss, but if you don't hit a net (or better yet, hit the Miniblin throwing it), then the game ends with Link getting captured. For each successive direct hit, you'll get a bonus multiplier of x2, x3, x4 or x5. For each direct hit, you'll score 10 points.
Bring this to her by filling your freight car up at Wellspring Station (you can get 20 units for 50 rupees from the Anouki by the pond there). Get the villager to Papuchia Village safely and he'll award you with Force Gem 13.The woman selling fish in Papuchia Village (southwest portion of the town proper) needs ice to cool her fish. Just swipe at him repeatedly and roll away from his attacks. Finally, a Big Blin will appear. You can defend the prisoner with regular attacks to keep the Miniblins away from him. You can take these out with quick cannon fire, but if you don't, they'll board your ship.
Head to the Dark Ore Mine along the eastern edge of the Fire Realm. Note: This will give you access to the Pirate Hideout!Note: You'll need Force Gem 18 to access Dark Ore Mine. The fish will now last longer on train trips, hooray! You'll also get Force Gem 14. You need 10 units total to cool off the fish.
Enter the tunnel to the south and the Rocktite will attack. Unfortunately, a Rocktite stands between you and the shortest path to the trading post.Leave the Dark Ore Mine and head southeast. Dark Ore is destroyed by sunlight, so you'll need to use tunnels and warp gates to get the stuff to Linebeck. He'll sell you 10 units of Dark Ore for a whopping 200 rupees. Play the Song of Discovery between the torches to reveal a chest with treasure inside! Enter the center door and talk to the Goron there. Enter the rightmost door and head due north.
That means you can only get hit once unless you want to make two trips - no easy feat!Be sure to use the barrels to hold off the Rocktite and to get it to open its mouth and expose its eye. Each hit you take diminishes your Dark Ore supply by 1, and you'll need at least 9 left by the end of the tunnel to make it to Linebeck with 5 remaining (due to sunlight). Take them out as soon as you see them, alternating fire between the larger threat and the many Tektites.
The Rocktite needs to be brought down about 7 or 8 times to be permanently defeated. You can retry this as many times as you like with your Dark Ore intact, so don't worry if you get pummeled.
